WEST MELBOURNE, FL, January 27, 2016 – RELM Wireless Corporation (NYSE MKT: RWC) today announced that it received a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The BPA encompasses the Company’s entire line of radio products and accessories operating in all the primary frequency bands. The BPA provides an eleven month base period (January 25, 2016 expiring on December 14, 2016) and four one-year option periods, and limits each individual order to a maximum of $1,250,000. There is no minimum or maximum total procurement under the BPA, nor does the contract specify or guarantee purchase quantities or dates of equipment orders.
RELM President and Chief Executive Officer David Storey commented, “As we have for so many years, RELM is proud to support the BLM’s wildland firefighting professionals. With so many lives on the line in critical situations, ours is a support role that our entire company takes very seriously, and one that we value a great deal. The BLM has relied upon thousands of our BK Radio products in wildland fire suppression efforts for over two decades; first deploying our E-Series analog radios, our G-Series analog radios, our P-25 digital D-Series radios, and more recently migrating to our P25 digital KNG-Series radios. We are committed to our relationship with the BLM for the full term of this BPA and for many years thereafter.”
